The Royal Blues had a great performance at the first TEDx event at Catlin Gabel. It was an incredibly exciting and inspiring night. The TED speakers were fascinating and the choir brought a lot of energy. Afterwards everyone posed with the giant red X outside the event.

Blues at TEDx Portland
The Grant High School Royal Blues have the tremendous honor or performing at two of this years TEDx festival events in Portland! The first is at Catlin Gabel on Thursday, April 18th and the second is at the Portland Art Museum on Saturday, April 27th. If you are unfamiliar TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is an internationally recognized organization whose goal is to disseminate "ideas worth sharing." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Talk
The first performance is free and open to the public. The Blues will sing four selections throughout the program. Parents and friends are encouraged to come and listen. At the second event the Blues have been selected to be a headline performer along with Masataka Odaka, Asia Greene, Rose City Trombones, and Denver. Although the event is sold out there will be live streams available at http://tedxportland.com/
This is a huge opportunity for the Royal Blues and for Grant to get some wonderful positive exposure. Videos and photographs of the performance will be available following the gig. Good Luck Blues!

4/18: Call time 4:45, Bus at 5:00pm to Catlin Gabel. Return bus by 8pm
4/27: Call time 2:00pm at Portland Art Museum 1219 SW Park Ave. NO BUS. Perform at 2:40. Done by 3pm.
